Anderson Aquatics, in partnership with the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA), is pleased to offer an Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) Course on March 26–27, 2026. This NRPA Aquatic Facility Operator Course is designed to prepare participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively operate and manage aquatic facilities.

About the AFO Course

The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) offers the premier certification in swimming pool operation through its Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) program. The AFO certification provides the most comprehensive and up-to-date training for aquatic facility operators, covering water chemistry, disinfection, mechanical systems, facility operations, healthy pools, and safety. Upon successful completion of the AFO course and open-book exam, participants will receive a five-year certification issued by the National Certification Board in coordination with the National Recreation and Park Association. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for this course.

Who Should Attend

Aquatic Directors, Recreation Directors, Water Park Directors, Pool Mangers, Aquatic Supervisors, Resort/Hotel/Motel Staff, and any staff member responsible for the operation, maintenance and management of a private or public aquatic facility.

NOTE: This AFO Course meets the requirement of the Colorado State Health Code 4.9

Cost

Full Course: $390 includes instruction, course manual/material, certification, exam fee and lunch on Friday sponsored by CEM Sales & Service
