Delivery/Shipping Updates

As you know, the cost of fuel has increased substantially over the past few weeks and is predicted to continue increasing even further. CEM is currently doing all we can to absorb these costs, however, we are unsure of how long we can continue to do so before needing to consider an increase in our standard fuel surcharge. For now, we would like to ask your help by placing larger quantity orders to maximize delivery efficiency (we can deliver 1,000 pounds of hazmat chemicals at a time so if normally placing orders that weigh a few hundred pounds, please consider increasing your order closer to 1,000 pounds of hazardous DOT regulated chemical - chlorines, acids, etc.). We appreciate your assistance in helping us keep costs down so that we may better serve you.
As a reminder:
Bleach and muriatic acid drums must be completely drip dry before we can collect and transport
Drums with any remaining chemical cannot be picked up due to safety and transport regulations.
All drums must include their lids in order to be picked up or returned to CEM
Drums without lids cannot be transported back.
Please plan ahead and place chemical orders in advance.
Summer demand increases significantly, and urgent or same day requests become very difficult to fulfill during this time of year. To help us serve you efficiently:
Check inventory levels regularly to prevent running low.
Allow extra lead time for larger or multi pallet orders.
We are permitted to transport no more than 1,000 pounds of hazardous material per trip. Any order exceeding this limit will require multiple trips, which may extend delivery times.
Ensure empty drums are rinsed (if required), stored upright, fully dried, and have the lids secured before pickup.
